Fun at Nana and Papa's

Aaron's vacation started on the third of March. We weren't going to do anything but decided rather suddenly to go see Nana and Papa. We were quite excited to go and meet Papa and Aaron kept commenting on how spontaneous it was to drive from Iowa to Massachusetts with only two days notice. We tried to hurry on the way there so we would have more time with them as they were going out of town on the eighth.
Here we are with Papa's chickens on the fifth, the day after we got there. He keeps chickens on his property and collects the eggs for food. I love how Miya's clutching the egg and looking at the chickens. They were bigger than I expected them to be having never really seen a chicken that close.

That night (the fifth) Papa and Spencer had a pillow fight. They laughed the whole time and got each other really good. Miya sat on the couch and sucked her thumb most of the time then decided it was okay and laughed too. It was fun to see how they warmed up to him so quickly. Miya had her moments of being really friendly then all of the sudden, don't touch me, it was weird but most of the time they were fun and happy together.

Miya loves shoes. She will pick them up and bring them to us all the time. It was funny with Papa's boots because they were so heavy that she had a really hard time getting them on her arms and then walking once she had them. I was quite amazed that she knew who they belonged to, she brought them right to him.
