On the 19th Aaron had his fifth career derail. He started working for Union Pacific just over three years ago in October of 2005. He was peacefully going along when four of the eight wheels on a locomotive went off the rail. As it turns out an eighty pound chunk of the coupler of a car fell out and something dragged it into a switch. Luckily this wasn't Aaron's fault and he doesn't get fired. Here's a picture of some of the wheels not so much on the track.
Here is a side view of an engine and the engine that derailed. The yellow line is supposed to continue straight and you are not supposed to be able to see the orange diagonal stripes. So you can see how out of alignment they are.
I really love this picture of Aaron with the derailed engine. He looks so proud. He also looks pretty cute in his UP hazing hat, glasses, and ear plugs.
