Fun at Home

8/8 - Spencer has had some fabulous and free ideas for family fun lately. He suggested we race matchbox cars while crawling. I was telling him how I'd beat him by picking the fastest car when he informed me that it's your body that makes you win not the toy car. Silly Mom! While it looks like I'm beating him here he actually just dropped his car and totally annihilated me even with his setback. Notice my tongue hanging out? Totally didn't help. Spencer graciously told me he'd let me win the next round and crawled at a snails pace to make up for my old age.

8/8 - Apparently sticking out your tongue is genetic Miya and Spencer both have their tongues out as they raced each other. Miya won this race by sliding to the finish line.

8/8 - I raced Amelia thinking I could be her since I couldn't take on Spencer. No so! Apparently my kids are just super fast. I figure they've spent a larger majority of their lives trying to crawl and I'm totally justified in my loss.

8/8 - Miya was the judge to see who won. It was close but Amelia beat me.

8/8 - I raced Miya next. I was getting pretty tired at this point so even with the road block that was Amelia, Miya still won.

8/8 - I lost severely to Spencer in the last race but this time I had a better excuse. Amelia wanted to ride on my back and Alex was holding onto my hip as I crawled along.

8/10 - The kids and I had a dance party while Aaron was at work. We put on Carrie Underwood and then Glee Volume 1 and shook our grove things. I love that Amelia got her doll out for a partner to dance with. I did actually dance with each of them in turn and we had a lot of fun. Alex loved dancing with everyone and Miya liked it better with a partner and also wasn't picky.

8/10 - Miya and Spencer were so cute holding hands and spinning around. They used several different hand holds and decided that while this was more secure one handed spinning was more fun. Amelia is just off the picture spinning with her doll and Alex watched.

8/10 - Amelia was helping her baby dance to the music. Baby had some good moves and Amelia is so cute with her.

8/10 - We had some solo dance time at the end and Miya had some great moves. I loved taking this pictures and watching them move around.

8/10 - Spencer likes a lot of twists and turns when he dances, especially while sitting on the floor. I think he was a break dancer in another life.

8/10 - He was playing the guitar along with the music then he informed me that we need a real guitar so he didn't have to make the music with he mouth. Then he would be able to sing and play at the same time. Little guy has a point.
