Two Holes in One Miya

8/13 - I've wanted to pierce Miya's ears since her birth but I wanted her to have a choice. So I decided to wait until she asked for it. It only took five years! Last night she was talking to me and said she wanted to get her ears pierced so she could get married. I'm not quite sure on the logic and explained that she'll have to wait a while to get married even if she gets them pierced. I also told her that it would hurt a little like a shot at the doctor. She said she didn't care and she wanted pretty earrings. I checked and double checked and then today while we were already out shopping we stopped by the mall and got it done.

Once in the chair she reassured me that she really wanted them done and asked me to help her "be more brave." It was so sweet.

8/13 - Here she is in the after shot. She was really freaked out by the pen to mark the spot. She didn't like that the woman drew on her. Miya cried for a little bit after the first ear. Then Miya told her to just do the other one. After the second one she cried until she saw the suckers. Miya stopped crying and picked out her sucker and was perfectly happy after that.

She loved the little pink bag that came with the piercing it had cleanser in it.

8/13 - Here's a close up shot of Miya with her new gold ball earrings. I let her pick whichever pair she wanted and that's what she picked. She's totally my little girl. All of my earrings are the stud type and plain colors. I love how cute and girly she is with them in.

In her own words: "I sat in the chair. The girl came over. She marked my ear. Then she put my earrings in. I cried, a lot, and then got a sucker and was happy. I like my pink bag. My earrings are beautiful!"
