This blog post represents the swings that typify Iowa weather. This picture was taken on Sunday when there was a blizzard warning and general nastiness that is implied with snow in April made worse by frigid wind chills and a husband that works outside at night. When Spencer saw the snow he asked, "Is spring over? Is it winter again?" Luckily the snow didn't stick around forever.
Here are the kids enjoying a balmy (in the 50s) day outside. Now that might not seem balmy to some of you but we've had a long winter. Upon hearing that they could go outside to play the kids happily got their shoes and found these sticks as soon as they got out the door. I don't know what it is about my kids and sticks but they love them.
Here's my cute little man Spencer moving a brick in his dump truck. He was excited that for once it wasn't covered in snow.
I love this picture and the story behind it makes it even better. We were playing outside and Miya pointed to the sky and said, "look Mom, it's the sun!" It's like she hasn't seen it for the last few months or something.

We are glad that you got some spring type weather here it is still in the 30's. I am glad that Miya can remember what the sun looks like. Spencer is already to move some dirt and other stuff.
