It was Spencer's third birthday yesterday and he LOVES dinosaurs. It's a new thing (within the past few weeks) so we decided to visit the science center because they had an exhibit full of dinosaurs. We have a pass that covers the zoo and the science center but this is only our second trip to the science center because last time we went there were so many kids that it wasn't fun. We had a lot of fun this time though as you can see from the amount of pictures I included.
----------------

This is Spencer and Aaron in front of the huge dinosaur skeleton. It was really cool but the lighting in there was really bad and my flash can only do so much. So you can see the head and just imagine a cool body. Originally I was holding Spencer but he was worried he said, "the big big dinosaurs eat me!" so Aaron had to hold him.
------------

They had a little area where you can dig up bones. It was really cool. Spencer was having fun brushing off the dirt with the paint brush. Sorry about the
Elmo diaper shot on
Miya.
------------

Once again the lighting left something to be desired so you can't really see what we're showing off here. It's a dinosaur nest full of eggs next to me. It was so cool I just had to have a picture.
Miya really liked it too and wouldn't look for the picture.
------------

This one was really cool and sadly the picture just doesn't do it justice. Thinking back now I should have
upped the resolution but oh well. This is a big board full of pegs like those little ones that you can put you hand it and it moves the two headed pins. We put the kids faces in there and then took a picture. Spencer is on the left an
Miya is looking down on the right.
------------

This is a big tub full of bubbles and you can use the big wand to make huge bubbles.
Miya wasn't great at it but loved splashing in the water with the wand and her hands. You can actually see a bubble that Spencer is starting to form in his.
------------

Again with the bubbles. Spencer just rocked with this one. You can see the big one he's forming just picking it up.
------------

Another
exhibit had a bunch of reptiles like snakes, frogs, and turtles. This snake was being very friendly with Spencer. He went right up to it and said "Hi snake!" as it was up and wiggling around.
------------

There is a giant turtle in this tank just to the right of the glare. It always has it's butt out to the viewers which isn't great but it's still huge and fun.
Miya was really excited to see this one and kept going back to it after not being impressed by the snakes.
------------

Here are my kids and Aaron giving the weather
forecast! They actually film here with kids but with the
Olympics going they haven't so we are just pretending. It's fun to see them on
TV like this. I got a wider angle where you could see them and the
TV but the
TV was too small to tell what was happening.
------------

Aaron and Spencer made a rocket out of paper in this exhibit. It looked really cool but it didn't go very far.
------------

Here they are ready to launch their rocket. Spencer really liked pushing the button and he would do it before we were ready so it was hard to get this picture.
------------

Aaron and I built this arch together. It was actually quite difficult because it was so tall I couldn't bend down to reach the next block without the other blocks falling over. We made it though in the end and I was so proud I made him take a picture.
That place looks really fun. We'll have to check it out sometime.
