Spencer turned two on August 15th. Here Spencer is talking to his Daddy on his Birthday. He didn't say anything to Aaron but he smiled and stood there listening. Usually he doesn't like the phone and pushes it away so listening is a big step =).
Uncle Brian, Aunt Michelle, and Austin got Spencer this really awesome little people car set at garage. Spencer thinks it's so cool. It's the first thing he wants to play with every morning when he wakes up. But as much as he loves it that's nothing compared to his love for his pez semi truck, also a gift from Uncle Brian. He would not put it down on his birthday. He's actually tried to sleep with it more than once since then and even though he's pretty good at sharing he freaks out if anyone else tries to touch it. You see when we were driving down to North Carolina from Iowa (21 hours straight, yuck!) Spencer insisted on pointing out every semi "truck" we passed. Miya and I had fallen asleep and I wake up at 1:30am to "truck, truck, truck" as he pointed out each one we passed. He did this until he feel back asleep some hours later. So Uncle Brian got him a truck.
Nana got Spencer these awesome new train parts. We left all his track at home but he loves to play with his new tunnel and other new track and cars. The cars are pretty cool too because they are what Aaron moves at work. Coal cars and a auto carrier. The car is missing from this picture but it sits on the yellow car. It's pretty fun.
We had Pizza for dinner for his Birthday and he just loved it. Spencer also got a big cake for his Birthday this year and he actually like being sung to (last year he cried) so that was pretty fun. I love his birthday hat with the 2 on it. Miya has the same one in Pink and you can switch out the numbers up to five so we can keep them going, pretty fun.
