LDS Temple and Mormon Trail Center

3/16 - The Winter Quarters temple. It's a smaller temple but still beautiful. I loved the doors that were decorated with leaves and things. The kids were excited to touch it and Spencer was saying how he was excited to go in when he turns 12.

The side of the temple. It was amazing how just stepping on the grounds we could feel an increase of the Spirit of the Lord. I LOVE the temple!

We went to a Mormon Pioneer Museum that was full of fun stuff for us and the kids to look at. I didn't know if I wanted to go at first but I'm glad we made time for it.  Amelia is distracted in this picture playing with her "LEAFY!" It was all about the leafy this trip. Each time one would touch her shoe she's yell, "leafy!" and pick it up and hang onto it. She got several in her hands. At this point she is using her leafy to touch the letters behind her.

Spencer and Miya the pioneers. They both loved dressing up and picking out their new clothes.

Back in the day a pioneer brought this flute and piccolo from Europe somewhere. I just thought they were beautiful and fascinating since I play the flute.

They were listening to the tour and looking so cute!

Fun and perfect for our age group they had these wagons you could pack with wood blocks. I tried my hand at it but I wasn't just trying to get in it there I wanted to make sure you could access the most important things and everyone moved on before I could finish. I guess that's what happens when you take a game too seriously.

Miya got all of her blocks in her wagon. I loved it! I don't think it would make it down the trail though.

Spencer's was a little more sturdy.

The kids got to pull a handcart around a little. The guide had them try to pull it over a little two inch rock and they couldn't do it by themselves. Aaron and I pitched in and even then it was hard. Pioneers had to be seriously buff.
