As per our tradition we had another fried turkey for Christmas Eve dinner, yum yum! Spencer was so excited to help Aaron get the fryer all ready to go and was actually more helpful than he's ever been.

This is the peanut oil coming out of the really really cold jug. It's not supposed to freeze and it looks a lot like apple sauce. It was so gross I just had to take a picture and share. I guess that's what happens when the temperature hangs around the negatives for too long.

Miya was my little helper making dinner. I love how cute she is all dressed up for the occasion. She liked the apron so much she wouldn't take it off for the rest of the day which is great because it kept her nice and clean.

Growing up my family always played a lot of games around the holidays and we have started that with our kids. They love it, especially Spencer. His favorites are modified versions of Life and Uno. He calls Life the car game. We don't play with money or any of the other things we just spin the wheel and whoever gets to the end first wins. Spencer is so good at recognizing his numbers and counting that it makes it that much more fun.

They were so excited about their Christmas jammies this year. We found just the right ones for them. Spencer got his obsession for wheels added to and Miya loves animals of any kind but giraffes are her absolute favorite so imagine my excitement when we found giraffe jammies in the store.

We always read books on our bed before we put the kids down. We tried to read on the couch last year but it didn't work out so this year I gave up and you get to see our festive pillow cases. What really makes me smile is that Aaron and I, before we even knew each other, both had a love for snoopy and had snoopy pillow cases made for us for the holidays. It's just another sign that we were meant to be right?
