We had a tree that was split all the way down the trunk and threatening some power lines so we called the power company and they came and cut it down. Spencer was having a blast watch the guy in the unstable bucket truck cut down the tree. He was really fast about it but left all the branches. After a long phone conversation we got them to come clean it up today so that's nice but now we have a really scary looking tree. We didn't get a great before picture so here it is in the background of our 4th of July.

Here is the after shot with our scary tree and all the debris. It's just a bunch of stumps on the one side but complete tree on the other half, it's quite odd looking. The kids loved playing in it and poking at each other with the sticks. It's also nice how much more light our house gets. The windows you see on the second story both lead to Spencer's room and they were both covered before so his room is really bright especially at night with the streetlamp right there. The first night he said, "Someone needs turn off the light." Poor kid, but he's gotten used to it.
