Tax Return Lovin'

1/31 - When we got our tax return back on the 27th the very first thing on our list was a new fridge. Aaron took a picture of the old fridge so you could see what I mean. It had rust all over the front. The seals were COVERED in mold and I tried everything to get it off. Add to that every time the cooling system clicked off the whole fridge shook, banged, and clunked. We knew it was on it's last breath and were so glad we got a new one in time.

1/31 - Here's the fancy new fridge beside the old one. You can see how we had quite the upgrade. We shopped around a little bit and Aaron remembered once he'd see on clearance at Menard's. Apparently it was last years model and they really wanted to get rid of it. We bought it for $1,400 similar models go for at least $1,800 but it's not hard to find them for $2,500 and up. It's kind of hard to see because of the shine but that just goes to show how fancy it is! It's stainless but magnetic, which is cool. It has French doors (LOVE!) with the freezer on the bottom (also love!). The ice/water dispenser has a touch screen that you can set to pour out a certain amount of water, no more flooding the kitchen when kids try it! I literally hugged it in the store when I saw it.

1/31 - This is the inside of our fancy new fridge and freezer. I'm shocked at how much it holds! Our last one was just TINY compared to this. The freezer drawer is deceptively large too. There is a whole turkey in the bottom the the top drawers are tall enough to hold a big tub of ice cream and lot of other stuff. The bottom right is just empty because I didn't have enough stuff to put everywhere. I'm in love. Hurray for tax returns!

1/31 - In addition to the fridge Aaron and I also got a new bed. We'd been sleeping on mine which has been in near constant use since I got it 18 years ago. It's moved across the country several times as well and it was really showing it's age. Every day I would wake up sore and ready for a new bed. I think in my excitement I didn't shop around as much as I should have but I'm pretty happy with what I ended up with. It's CRAZY tall. Here's our kids standing next to the bed so you can see the flying leap we all need to get on it.

1/31 - Here I am on our fancy new bed. It's a Serta and came with a free box spring. The box doesn't match but that doesn't bother me. It also has little bling all over it. That made me laugh. Miya is in love and wants to know if we can add sparkles to her bed.
