Kindergarten Roundup Miya Style

4/7 - Miya was so excited to go to the elementary school for Kindergarten Roundup. They test the kids on various things by playing games to see if they are ready for Kindergarten or if they need to go to Early Kindergarten for those who are not quite ready yet. We encouraged Miya to show off telling her that this was her time to shine. While we were there waiting we played around this bench.

4/7 - Miya was super jazzed to go to school for a day!

4/7 - Miya had so much fun at roundup! Here she is with her loot. We talked about it when she got home and here are the highlights... - We played cows - they put buckets on our feet and we had to walk around pretending there was cow poop, "bleck!" - Next they "wiggled the garpet and the balloons exploded out and they went up and down, up and down, up and down!" (balloons on a big sheet). - "They took my picture a little bit." - "I colored really good." - "They gave us cookies and white milk. It was been my yummiest kind ever!" - "The best part was when the balloons exploded." - We then asked her what the hardest part was. "Holding my chair still. I didn't want to be at the short table. The teacher was mad at me. The circle over the "i" in my name. The pencil was been having a hard time making it beautiful." I love how she blames the pencil.

 

 

4/18 - Miya got this fancy pencil at Kindergarten Roundup and she loved it so much she drew a picture of it. It's so close to the real one it amazed me. Sadly Amelia got a hold of it before I could take this picture so it has some erroneous scribbles on it but you can still see how adorable it is.
